The Saeco Warranty which covers the new household appliance you have purchased entitles you to have your appliance serviced, if necessary, either by one of our authorized service centers listed herein or directly by the manufacturer.
Important: by.purchasing this household appliance from a dealer located in the European Union, you have acquired specific warranty rights vas-A-via said dealer under current laws. The warranty terms stated below in no way affect your rights under European Directive 1999/44/CE and under the applicable laws in force in your country.
The Saeco Warranty covering this appliance is subject to the following conditions:
1.We warrant that this. newly manufactured. appliance was free from defects at the time it was handed over to you by your dealer. By defect we mean any fault that significantly impairs or limits the value or working efficiency of the appliance.
2.Warranty coverage is expressly denied for any appliances:
rendered defective As a result of misuse, negligence or carelessness either in their use or storage (e.g. failure to follow the instructions for using the appliance),
rendered defective as a result of improper installation, maintenance or repairs performed by unauthorized persons or which have been damaged during transport,
with defects.not ascribable to faulty workmanship, but rather to the wear and tear that occurs during normal use of the appliance (in particular, buildup of scale and deterioration of parts subject towear, such as, for example, gaskets, grinder disks or water filters),
that perform inefficiently as a result of the use of spare parts other than those manufactured by Saeco, that have been damaged by lightning discharges, humidity, fire, incompatible voltages or any other cause not objectively ascribable to the manufacturer.
Note: We wish to draw your attention to the fact that appliance settings (e.g. water temperature, fineness of grind) vary according to the country where the appliance is to be sold; hence we shall accept no claims in connection with or requests to modify these settings.
In addition, no warranty claims will be accepted in the case of improper use and/or operation outside the usage parameters stated by Saeco International Group spa, which explicitly exclude professional use. Professional use is defined as use at a frequency that exceeds the normal, average domestic use for which the appliance was designed.
3.This warranty commences on the date you purchased the appliance from your dealer and is valid for two years. The extractible dispensing unit of completely automatic machines is guaranteed for a period of five years starting from the date of purchase.
4.This appliance qualifies for warranty coverage only if it was purchased in one of the countries belonging to the European Union and on condition that at the time any defects were detected it was being used in one of these countries and that the warranty service can be provided in the latter. During the warranty period, the user has a right to request service under the warranty only if s/he notifies us in writing of the defect within two months of its appearance. In all countries outside the European Union, the warranty conditions specifically provided under the respective national laws will apply.
Notwithstanding the above terms, it should be noted that Saeco International Group spa, manufacturer and owner of the Saeco spa trademark, opposes and in any case does not authorize the sale, in countries falling within European economic space, of Saeco appliances and products that were destined for markets outside these countries.
5.We will remedy any defects detected in this appliance at no additional charge and within a reasonable amount of time after being notified of the defects themselves. The warranty service is subject to delay if servicing is performed in a country other than the one where the appliance was purchased, since products are marketed at different times in different countries and a specific version may be sold in a given country. We shall bear all the costs of servicing the appliance, above all the costs for labor and materials. However, the appliance must be transported to the nearest Saeco authorized service center at your own risk and expense.
6.Any servicing performed on the appliance under the warranty will not result in an extension or renewal of the warranty. Any replaced parts will automatically become our own property.
7.Should you require warranty service, please arrange for the appliance to be delivered to the nearest Saeco authorized service center. Take care to ensure that the packing container is in perfect condition and is suitable for safely transporting the appliance (original packing container). Inside the packing container you should enclose your complete address together with a brief description of the fault. Please also include an original purchase document (sales receipt, invoice) and the warranty form, duly compiled, to prove that you are entitled to warranty service.
8.We, the manufacturer, will not be liable for any injury or damage that may be directly or indirectly caused to persons, pets, or property as a result of failure to observe the safety rules provided in the instruction booklet, especially those concerning installation, use and maintenance of the applianse.
